What is Eco-Peg?

Eco-Peg is an initiative launched by HomeMADE, a Manitoban non-profit organization, that promotes buying local, doing good and living green.

Why become a part of Eco-Peg?

It is vital that Manitobans take a stand and take the responsibility to ensure that our communities are self-sustainable and maintain a positive quality of life.

What can I do?

By buying your Eco-Peg pass, you have taken the first step in living the Eco-Peg pledge.  Support the local businesses listed on this site, and be sure to check out the tips and information on the Tips page for ways that you can make a positive change today.   Let your friends and family know what the Eco-Peg pass stands for, and where they can get one of their own.

What is the Eco-Peg pledge?

The Eco-Peg pledge is a promise to buy local products and support local businesses; to ensure that you do good for yourself, as well as your community; and to make allowances in your life to benefit the environment around you and world-wide.

I bought an Eco-Peg pass; now what? 

Congratulations-you just took the first step to becoming a part of a greater community awareness by supporting local business, caring for yourself, and helping the environment!  All that you have to do to reap the benefits of being an Eco-Peg pass holder is look at the list of supporting retailers and services on this site (listings will be online April 26, 2008), and have your Eco-Peg pass with you when you visit their places of business! Each retailer/service has their own special available, as well as the option to change it monthly; check back often!
